Requirements
General Qualifications and Experience
US CITIZENSHIP
Masters level or equivalent degree in, Public Health, Epidemiology, Management, Law, Sociology or related field.
Minimum of 5 years experience with HIV/AIDS programs and§demonstrated broad programmatic knowledge and experience in analysis and planning, and in the planning and management of programs in developing countries. Experience with USAID programming a plus.
Demonstrated leadership, analytical and managerial skills within the context of developing countries.
Knowledge of other relevant programs in§Sub-Saharan Africa, and programmatic knowledge of different methods, models and approaches.
CTO certification will berequired.
Programmatic Knowledge:
Management of HIV/AIDS programs in a Sub-Saharan setting. This includes work with government and/or non-government organizations responsible for HIV/AIDS programs. Experience in working with partner organizations including bilateral and multilateral donors as well as NGOs to ensure coordination.
Conceptualization, design, management and coordination of§interventions related to HIV/AIDS prevention, care and support.
Provision of programmatic advice and recommendations in planning, designing and developing HIV/AIDS interventions as part of a mission program or other donor relevant interventions and programs.
Application of sociological, anthropological or related cultural knowledge in addressing issues in the design, implementation and/or evaluation of development or related programs/projects.
Analysis and monitoring of complex HIV/AIDS programs.
