Principal Accountabilities:

* Analyse survey data as well as information collected from individual organisations, highlighting trends and issues for consideration.
* Prepare remuneration intelligence reports and draft recommendations for consideration by the BCC.
* Present recommendations on remuneration and benefits issues to the BCC for review and approval.
* Maintain balance sheet information for incoming and outgoing expatriates.
* Maintain on-assignment remuneration for assignees out according to annual increases, bi-annual COL updates and policy changes, as well as on-assignment terms and conditions for incoming expatriates in conformity with established practices.
* Ensure that IA packages and payroll instructions are properly implemented and executed in line with policy.
* Oversee the effective delivery of remuneration and reward across the company, especially salary increase management and incentive schemes.
* Manage the full Job Evaluation process through the use of the JE Manager technology and ensure internal equity and consistency across functions.
* Implement and sustain non monetary recognition arrangements which will create and embed a culture of spontaneous recognition.
* Implement and maintain a reward communication strategy that enhances transparency and keeps employees informed.
* Develop and enhance reward training modules for line and HR managers to increase their reward management competence.
* Respond to all queries around expatriate remuneration and benefits.
* Develop, maintain and implement a reward induction module for new hires.
* Establish and maintain effective and productive relationships, especially with external colleagues in the HR discipline and FMCG sector.
* Source appropriate and quality remuneration and benefits data.
* Lead and execute area and regional reward projects as assigned by the Area Reward Manager and Regional Reward Forum

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

* 5 years minimum experience in Human Resources in a multinational organisation with knowledge of HRM practices & principles.
* 2 – 3 years of specialised experience in R&B function in an FMCG environment is preferable.
* Ability to design and manage pay & benefits systems
* Conceptual understanding of market survey techniques; ability to conduct and interpret compensation surveys;
* Ability to work with numerical & graphical data; understanding of statistics.
* Excellent working knowledge of JE Manager and HAY evaluation method and understanding of other alternative approaches to job evaluation.
* Good understanding of the BAT business and of tobacco industry in general;
* Good knowledge of the Nigeria Labour market, particularly FMCG sector;
* Strong analytical skills.
* Ability to work with extremely confidential & sensitive data.
* Good interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong influencing skills; ability to influence employees & management at all levels including Top Team and Regional management.

* The Finance Department of the Company has various sub-units amongst which include Financial Accounting. The General Ledger unit is a sub-set of the Financial accounting section.

* Good interpersonal skills is required as the job holder would be expected to relate with various other sub-units in finance i.e. marketing finance, operations finance, accounts payable, treasury e.t.c. Relationship with all staff is inevitable as the Job holder supervises the company’s financial record.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

* A good knowledge of book keeping and financial reporting is required. Proficiency in Microsoft words & excel is required. Also good knowledge of the Company Enterprise Resource Programme, currently systems applications and procedures ( SAP) especially General Ledger in FI module is essential.

* The Job holder is expected to be a first degree holder in social sciences and or at least a finalist in a recognized professional accountancy examination, while membership of such professional bodies will be an added advantage

Management:

Ensure the day-to-day management of your unit/ team.
Control the functions of other security personnel, employees and contractors and those with security responsibilities so as to provide a properly co-ordinated and cost effective service.
Devise and co-ordinate appropriate specialist security training in respect of security and/or other nominated personnel employed within the Area.
Ensure that a report, in standard format, is submitted monthly to the Country Security Manager, together with minutes of the Security Committee Meetings

Relationship:

Close contact with the Country/ Area and Regional Security Managers.
Close contact with
Close contact with local Police/Military and other government agencies and Security Managers of other international and large local companies within the Country.
Close contact with senior Management of local guarding, alarm and other security companies.
Liaison, through the Country Security Manager, with security consultants and training agencies in the home country and in other countries.

Provide input and advice necessary for the development, review and updating of the security element of contingency plans throughout the Company

Key Responsibilities:

Be capable of exploiting all sources of information to obtain and collate detail on all threats or potential threats to the Company.

Have the ability to produce timely, accurate, detailed and concise written and verbal reports/reviews.
Have a detailed knowledge of all aspects of physical and electronic security; specifically, locks, building security, control of access procedures, perimeter protection, the use of Close Circuit Television (CCTV) and Intruder Detection Systems (IDS).
Keep abreast of current trends and techniques in the security field and disseminate the product of such knowledge to relevant personnel within the company.
Be capable of commanding a contracted and/or ‘in-house’ guard force.
Be capable of carrying out and managing effective investigations involving breaches of security and security incidents. Able to prepare, conduct and record interviews.
Understand the principles involved in the protection of Company information, including that which is computer based, and the measures/procedures required to achieve this.

Skills & Experience:

Understanding the potential threats to personnel, assets, information, installations and business operations, using this knowledge in order to carry out the relevant assessment(s) and produce appropriate security procedures and plans.
Ensuring that the performance of the guard force, consultants and contractors, are effectively monitored and that their performance is of a high standard, and in accordance with British American Tobacco ‘Best Practice’.
Guards/Supervisors at all locations being properly vetted, alert, smart, efficient, respectful and perform within agreed guard Assignment Instructions and British American Tobacco ‘Best Practice’.
Accurate and concise reports being submitted on time, including those required by the Country Security Manager, and any agreed action effectively and timely implemented.
Achieving full control of access at all locations, staff searching, key systems, packed stock movements, asset transfer, ensuring that no products or other company assets/property are illicitly removed from British American Tobacco (Nigeria) and other British American Tobacco premises within the Company.
Ensuring that the Security Department operates within agreed budgets.
